March of the Ghosts rules
Tournament Eligibility
· All clans who meet the requirements set forth herein are able to compete in this tournament, except those players and clans who have been disqualified for any reason including, but not limited to those listed below.
· Individuals and clans will be disqualified if they are banned from the game for any reason, including, but not limited to, violating any of the Terms and Conditions of Cross Fire and Z8Games. If an individual Clan Member is disqualified or banned from the game and/or tournament, the entire Clan may be disqualified.
· Z8Games reserves the right to reschedule or restart any game or match as needed. Such decisions will be announced and executed by official Z8Games personnel.
· All players, at all times, must abide by the Cross Fire Terms and Conditions and the General Forum rules listed in the “Forum Rules” sub-forum. These rules are in effect and apply to the March of the Ghosts Tournament – beginning March 17, 2009. In the case that inconsistencies arise between the Tournament Rules and the rules of any previous or other Cross Fire tournaments, the “Cross Fire March of the Ghosts - Rules” shall stand.
Player Eligibility
· To be eligible to participate in this tournament a player must have a registered and working Cross Fire account.
· The player must have access to the internet and to a computer with Cross Fire installed.
· The player must comply at all times with the Official Tournament Rules and the Cross Fire Terms and Conditions.
· The Clan Leader or Lieutenant must be available to communicate via the forums.
Tournament Registration
· Tournament Registration will begin on Friday March 12th at 5PM EST and continue until all available team slots are full.
· Registration will be done via the tournament page. Click here
· Clan Leaders OR Clan Lieutenants may register members from their clan (including themselves). The roster will consist of five (5) players and three (3) subs for a total of eight ( players on each team.
· Only one team may sign up per clan.
· Clans will be required to submit 1000 ZP as a registration entry fee to be taken from the clan bank at time of registration.
· The registration transaction is final. If a clan drops out or is ejected from the tournament for any reason they forfeit their registration fee and any potential winnings and prizes.
· Rosters may be changed after registration up until the Tournament actually begins. After the tournament begins Roster moves are not permitted.
Tournament Mechanics and Rules
· Once the registration period is ended the clan will be seeded randomly by Z8Games. A thread on the forums used for communication between opposing clans will be created.
· Clans are expected to use that forum thread Click here as a means of communicating with each other. They will organize a mutual match time to play during the allotted round time.
· Brackets will be displayed on the tournament website after the registration has closed.
· There will be four (4) rounds in the tournament, with each round consisting of one – 9 round Ghost Mode Match.
· The map settings for each round will be as follows:
· Game will be played on an agreed upon server.
· 5 vs 5 players
· 9 round play
· Each clan will play Black List and Global Risk once. Switching each side per round.
· Map according to each round:
Round 1: Lab
Round 2: Lost Relics
Round 3: Hackenkreuz
Round 4: Metro
Finals (Round 5): To Be Announced
· Round 1 will take place between Wednesday March 17, 2010 and Tuesday March 23, 2010
· Round 2 will take place between Thursday March 25, 2010 and Tuesday March 30, 2010
· Round 3 will take place between Thursday April 1, 2010 and Sunday April 4, 2010
· Round 4 will take place between Tuesday April 5, 2010 and Friday April 9, 2010
· Final Round will take place on a Predetermined Date Following the Fourth (4) Round.
· All Rounds start at 12:01AM on the start day and end at 11:59PM on the end day.
· Winners will be announced after the tournament is complete.
· The winner of each round matchup will be determined by the score at the end of the 2 games.
· In the event of a tie, a knife only Arena TDM match will be played to 40.
· After a match is over, a designated member of the team must submit screenshots of the final score declaring the winner and replays of BOTH GAMES to cftournament@g4box.com. Winners of each match will be announced following the conclusion of each tournament round. The next round brackets will then be posted and new forum threads will be created for that round.
· Please submit the replay file and a screenshot showing the match result and rosters immediately following the match. Failure to do so may result in the clans forfeit of the match and of any potential prizes.
· Disputes will be settled solely between the designated team representative and Z8Games employees. Evidence must be submitted to cftournament@g4box.com for any and all claims.
· Additional evidence such as youtube videos, screenshots, forum posts, fraps videos or growler cam videos will be accepted in the case of disputes. All evidence will be reviewed after every match and for every claim.
· Team representatives are expected to organize with their opposing clan a time that best suits both groups to play during the allotted time for each round. This will be based on an honor system and players will be expected to treat each other with respect and sportsmanship.
· Teams are expected to be respectful to each other. They must agree upon mutual times and which team will create the match and what server they will play on.
· Disputes over any of these matters can be taken up with the Tournament Director and Cross Fire GM, [GM]Saidin on the CF Forums.
· Clans will have a thirty (30) minute grace period to play their match. This means that any clan will have 30 extra minutes to make sure they are available to play their clan match. Players must take a screenshot of their roster once they arrive in the match and are available to play. In the event the other team does not show, this screenshot will serve as proof of your eligibility to proceed to the next round in the tournament.
Weapon and Item Restrictions
· The Shovel melee weapon will not be allowed in this tournament.
· The RPK Gun will not be allowed in this tournament.
· The M60 and M60-Adv guns will not be allowed in this tournament.
· If a player is caught using an illegal item a screenshot/replay must be submitted to cftournament@gmail.com.
Player and Match Drops and Disconnects
· In the event that a player drops out before a match starts any of the registered players may take his/her place.
· If a player drops while a match is ongoing that match must continue regardless.
· Clans are expected to use proper judgment and sportsmanship when dealing with a dropped player.
· Player subs can be used to join a game in place of a dropped player. But they may only join after the current round within the match is finished. (ie they must join the urrent round as a dead player to start the next round).
Player Subs
· Any person on the eight ( player roster can act as a sub.
· Any person on the eight ( player roster can play in any round of the tournament. This is designed to allow for the maximum contingency for teams.

· 20,000 ZP Per Player (160,000 total for the team)
Second Place
· Ghost Mode Name Card (30 days)
· Field Shovel (30 Days)
· 15,000 ZP Per Player (120,000 total for the team)

· Blue Muzzle Flame (30 days)
· 10,000 ZP Per Player (80,000 total for the team)

I believe it depends on who we are playing. Just practice as if you are in the starting line up. Official practices will start tomorrow.
